Global music icon Céline Dion has announced a long-awaited return to the stage, marking a powerful comeback following years of health struggles caused by a rare neurological condition.
The singer revealed she will perform a limited series of concerts in Paris in autumn 2026, her first major performances since being diagnosed with stiff-person syndrome, a debilitating disorder that has significantly affected her ability to sing and move.
The announcement carries deep emotional weight for both Dion and her fans. Speaking about her return, she described the opportunity to perform again as “the best gift” she could receive, reflecting on the long and uncertain journey she has faced since stepping away from the spotlight.
Stiff-person syndrome is a rare condition that causes muscle stiffness and painful spasms, often impacting mobility and vocal control, which are critical elements for a performer of Dion’s calibre. The illness forced her to cancel tours and postpone projects, raising concerns about whether she would ever return to live performances.
