Dr. Dre has officially reached billionaire status, according to the latest global wealth rankings.
The legendary hip-hop producer and entrepreneur now has an estimated net worth of $1 billion, securing a place on the 2026 Forbes Billionaires List.
Dre’s fortune comes from a combination of music, technology and business ventures, including his influential record label Aftermath Entertainment and the massive success of Beats by Dre, the headphone brand he co-founded with Jimmy Iovine.
The Beats brand became a global phenomenon and was eventually sold to Apple in a $3 billion deal, one of the biggest acquisitions in the tech giant’s history.
Over the years, Dre has also expanded into other ventures, including launching a spirits brand with longtime collaborator Snoop Dogg and investing in new business and education initiatives.
With this milestone, Dr. Dre joins a small group of musicians who have achieved billionaire status, highlighting how artists are increasingly building empires that extend far beyond music.
