Julie Andrews Will Not Return for The Princess Diaries 3

Genovia will not quite be the same without Queen Clarisse Renaldi.

Julie Andrews has confirmed that she will not be returning for The Princess Diaries 3. The Hollywood legend explained that she believes the story should now focus on Princess Mia, adding that she is retired and would like to see the franchise continue without her character.

Anne Hathaway is set to return as Mia Thermopolis, now Queen of Genovia. The actress has also revealed that the team has found a new direction for the film following changes to the script.

Although many fans will be disappointed not to see Queen Clarisse again, anticipation for the next chapter of the beloved franchise remains high.
