Magic Christmas Your Music Your Life!

Ever wondered why a tub of chocolate ice cream seems to make everything feel a little better? It turns out there may be a scientific explanation.
While chocolate ice cream is not a cure for a bad day, researchers say several factors may help explain why it often feels so comforting.
Chocolate naturally contains compounds including theobromine and small amounts of caffeine. These substances can stimulate the release of dopamine in the brain, a neurotransmitter associated with pleasure, motivation and reward. This chemical response may contribute to the satisfying feeling many people experience after eating chocolate.
The ice cream itself may also play a role. The cold sensation temporarily reduces nerve activity inside the mouth, creating a soothing physical effect that some experts believe can help people feel calmer.
On top of that, many people associate ice cream with positive memories from childhood, celebrations or spending time with loved ones, making it an emotionally comforting treat as well as a physical one.
So the next time you reach for chocolate ice cream after a stressful day, science suggests there really could be more to it than simple indulgence.
