A remote town in Patagonia, Argentina, has unveiled an enormous 85-foot statue celebrating the football icon and Argentina’s unforgettable victory at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The statue also features Messi holding up the Argentina shirt while pointing towards the sky, a gesture he has made throughout his career in honour of his late grandmother, who played a huge role in encouraging his love for football.

The striking tribute has quickly become a new attraction for football fans eager to celebrate one of the greatest players the sport has ever seen.
