The gesture is part of a long-standing tradition that has become synonymous with Japanese football supporters. Similar scenes have been witnessed at major tournaments across the globe for decades.
Many fans and organisers have praised the behaviour as an example of respect, responsibility, and community spirit.
The clean-up once again highlighted why Japanese supporters continue to be admired by football fans around the world.
