Apple has announced the launch of the MacBook Neo, a new laptop designed to make the Mac experience more accessible, with prices starting at $599.
The MacBook Neo is Apple’s latest attempt to reach students, first-time Mac users, and budget-conscious buyers who might normally choose lower-priced Windows laptops or Chromebooks. By introducing a more affordable Mac, Apple is expanding its lineup and making it easier for more people to enter its ecosystem.

The laptop features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display and is powered by Apple’s A18 Pro chip, a processor also used in recent iPhone models. The base configuration includes 8GB of unified memory and 256GB of storage, offering enough power for everyday tasks such as browsing, streaming, schoolwork, and office applications.
Despite the lower price, the MacBook Neo still includes many of Apple’s familiar features. Users can expect the Magic Keyboard, a large multi-touch trackpad, and the latest version of macOS with built-in apps like Safari, Messages, FaceTime, and Pages.
